EXAMPLE OF STACK COMPOSTING:
Open composting plants are unpopular among the population due to the odour emissions. The goal must be to minimise odour emissions without the typically expensive measure of a complete housing.
Our systems offer a remedy here. Innovations in capture technology allowed the development of a channel system recessed into the ground that captures the exhaust air directly at the composting stacks and then feeds it into a biofilter for purification. The system allows very homogeneous supply and exhaust ventilation over stack areas of any length and prevents uncontrolled emission into the ambient air thanks to air flow from the outside inward.
The passive odour load is reduced to a minimum (up to 3%) in comparison with non-ventilated systems.
Additional advantages of this technology include a significantly improved oxygen supply to the stacks, with the result of significantly shortening the decomposition time as well as the use of cost-efficient turning technologies.
Applications include typical cuttings as well as mechanical-biological preparation and anaerobic waste treatment.
